I'm Durin Tasondock, a full-stack product engineer and technical founder based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. I build web and mobile products for startups and businesses, and I run two of my own.
The products I work on are real and in use. VotArena, the event platform I founded, has processed thousands of paid votes and ticket orders through Mobile Money. Ekoh, an event-management SaaS for a South African company, has had me on its codebase for more than three years. The platform of an 8-site medical laboratory network runs on software I designed and built alone.
I work directly with the people who own the product — founders, managers, department heads — and take responsibility for the whole chain: understanding the problem, designing the architecture, writing the code, running the infrastructure and improving what is in production.
How I work
I start from the problem, not from the technology. Before proposing anything I want to understand who uses the product, what they do today, what breaks and what success looks like for the business.
I make technical decisions explicit and write them down. Architecture, data model, what is built now versus later: these choices are documented so that you and any future engineer can follow them.
I ship early and in usable increments. A first version in production teaches more than a month of planning, and every increment is tested, deployable and reviewed with you.
I stay. Software needs someone who knows why it was built that way when the next feature or the next incident comes. Three years on Ekoh and a year on the laboratory platform are what that looks like in practice.

Founder, CEO & CTO
VotArena · Fingers Technologies · Yaoundé, Cameroon
Event platform for competitions with paid votes, ticketing, registrations and organizer payouts, with Mobile Money and international payments. Designed and built alone since March 2026: 457 commits and about 120,000 lines of TypeScript excluding tests.
In production: 3,472 paid votes from one competition, 52 confirmed ticket orders and 22 organizer payouts actually paid (production data, 23 September 2026). 6,087 automated tests, all passing (25 September 2026).

Founder
Jungle Immobilier · Cameroon
Proptech platform for furnished rentals, live at jungle.immo. Structured as seven bounded contexts across ten repositories, with a token ledger and 72-hour unlock handled in a multi-document MongoDB transaction.
Pre-launch security audit of 67 findings followed by fixes; deployment behind Traefik with no published ports and the API exposed only for two payment webhooks.

Head of the IT Department
Laboratoires SION · Yaoundé, Cameroon
Responsible for the information systems of a network of 8 medical laboratory sites, 42 workstations and about 90 prescriptions a day, and sole engineer of its platform. In production: a commercial steering tool, multi-site synchronisation agents with their API, a private download portal and the public website.
In pilot at one site: NestJS microservices (identity, referential, home) and an offline-first Flutter workstation. 2,000+ automated tests, access control with 13 roles, 68 permissions and 6 scopes, and a hardened VPS (Lynis score 82/100).
June 2024 – June 2025
Developer & Technical Lead (permanent contract)

Smart Cities programme: technical lead of a scrum team building a modular platform, with a micro-frontend setup, self-hosted GitLab, a Docker registry and the delivery workflow around them.
Also administered the company's mail and database servers.

Full-stack & mobile engineer (remote)

Long-term engineer on Ekoh, an event-management SaaS in production (ekoh.online), as part of a distributed team: NestJS GraphQL backend, Next.js web app and Expo mobile scanner app. 1,179 named commits, about 2,800 including an earlier unnamed git identity, from 31 May 2023 to September 2026.
In 2026, rebuilt authentication end to end (sessions, account lockout, rate limiting, passwordless email links, OTP, OAuth with PKCE, Temporal workflows, Vault) and published a typed GraphQL SDK to GitHub Packages.
April 2022 – April 2023
Full-stack developer, then project lead
Dyvix IT Solutions · Yaoundé, Cameroon
Built the company website and modelled several client projects (domain models, UML), then led a rental-management SaaS for a French client during its final quarter, working with a backend developer.
That project did not reach production as planned — an early lesson in scoping and delivery that still shapes how I frame work today.
Founder
Building VotArena taught me what a product looks like from the other side of the contract. As founder, CEO and CTO, I decide what to build, onboard organizers, support them during their events and handle production incidents myself. Every technical choice — how payments are routed, how payouts are reconciled, what is logged and what is not — is a business decision with my name on it.
Jungle Immobilier taught me the opposite lesson: structure before scale. I split it into seven bounded contexts, ran a security audit before launch and locked down the deployment before the first user arrived. Both products make me a better engineer for clients: I know what it costs to be wrong about scope, and what it is worth to be right about foundations.
